Hi! I'm Kirsty, a Certified Baby and Child Sleep Consultant and a Paediatric Registered Nurse based in Adelaide, South Australia. I am also the proud mother of three beautiful children so I’ve experienced, first-hand, the trials and tribulations that come with parenting, especially when it comes to sleep.
Let me take you back to the beginning of my journey into the world of sleep consultancy. It all started with my first baby, who was what you might call a "challenging sleeper." Dealing with her reflux issues was tough enough, but the endless nights spent pacing the house shushing and bouncing took its toll on both my husband and I. We were exhausted, in a way we couldn’t comprehend before parenthood.
All the well-meaning advice and jokes of ‘oh get as much sleep as you can now’ before the arrival of your first baby can’t prepare you for how overwhelming the lack of sleep can feel, especially in the early hours where you feel like you might be the only person alive who’s awake.
Amidst the exhaustion and frustration, I’m so thankful to have found my calling. After seeking help from a baby sleep consultant, I came to deeply appreciate the vital role that sleep plays in a baby's development and well-being. The support we received in our consults with our sleep consultant and the gentle techniques they taught us were transformative for my baby, my life and my family's dynamic.
This experience tapped into my passion for supporting families, particularly mothers, and I knew I had to learn more and use those skills to assist other families who find themselves in the throes of sleep deprivation. So, after gaining my certification as a sleep consultant and a lot of experience with my own little ones, I embarked on a mission to help overwhelmed parents and their little ones find peace and rest through holistic and gentle sleep techniques.
My approach to sleep consultancy is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to holistic well-being for your family. I believe in addressing not just the symptoms of sleep struggles but also their underlying causes. By taking a comprehensive approach, I aim to empower parents with the knowledge and skills they need to guide their little ones towards healthy sleep habits.
Through personalised guidance and support, I work hand in hand with families to create tailored sleep plans that prioritise both the needs of both the little one and the whole family. Playing a part in my clients gaining confidence and control with their routines and in-turn finding more joy in parenthood is such a special experience.
